The NEO-PICTORIAL SCHOOL of PHOTOGRAPHY
The Neo-Pictorial School of Photography is for photographers and lens-based artists seeking to explore the art of image-making beyond the purely mechanical. Inspired by the ethos of the Pictorialist movement, the school champions photography as an expressive medium, one that transcends realism to evoke imagination, emotion, and subjective interpretation.
While deeply rooted in analogue traditions, the school also embraces digital-to-print technologies, bridging the past and present to expand creative possibilities. Importantly these immersive, 3-day experiential workshops are offered alongside discussions and critiques together with a group of like-minded, lens-based artists. From this collaborative and immersive creative environment together with a shared passion for craftsmanship, you will leave not only with unique photographic artefacts but also, we hope, with a renewed artistic vision.
